I’m now enjoying Steely Dan’s “Plush TV Jazz Rock Party 2000” … I’ve always regarded their music as the best test of any stereo system, and she handles it with aplomb. MM 3/28/23: Bob the Tech Audio was great and easy to work with. Bob took a McIntosh preamp that was giving me trouble with static, noise and dropouts and fixed it beautifully. He maintained great communications and replied quickly to my questions as he went through the unit and gave me an honest assessment of the problems. Within a few days of sending the unit to him, it was repaired and on it’s way back to me with a reasonable repair price. The stereo sounds great again. Bob’s awesome and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

GR via Audiokarma 12/19/22: I just want to share my recent experience with Bob the Tech Audio … He recently serviced and restored our McIntosh C32 preamp, and we are very pleased with his work. Bob gave prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable answers to all my many questions, regular progress updates, and a detailed description of the work he completed (it was a lot, including replacement of all electrolytic capacitors, new ribbon cables, LED upgrade, and more)… the preamplifier looks great, sounds great, and seems to be functioning flawlessly. We are very happy with Bob’s work!

The total cost was very reasonable and probably spent more on the box and shipping than anything (except glass). Unlike many who claim they can work on these older components, I was convinced he would do it the right way. It would be impossible to say too many nice things about Bob. I sent the unit out to him … Bob soon saw the problems, there were many, … my confidence in Bob’s ability held true. I couldn’t be happier with the finished product as it sounds totally amazing now. I strongly urge anyone looking to having work done on vintage McIntosh components to strongly consider him.
