Bob the Tech Audio restores and repairs vintage McIntosh Laboratories amplifiers like this MC2100. One of the power supply filter capacitors on this vintage McIntosh MC2100 had clearly given up. I cleaned the chassis, and replaced both filter capacitors to be sure. I also replaced the RCA jacks and volume controls to address broken and mismatched parts left in the unit by a prior repair shop (visit the Hall of Shame for details). Distortion measures in the 0.1-0.2% range across frequency, looks good!
